Afternoon Tea at The Berkley...

Hey Everyone...

I hope you are all well? Thank you for all the lovely comments on my last post - it's good to know that you won't all abandon me if I have a sponsored post or two.

Anyway it's back on track to catching up with a lot of lovely things that have happened since the wedding - I am trying to keep them in order, which means this lovely day happened just after we returned back from honeymoon all the way back in June!

As a special treat to keep that magic feeling after returning from honeymoon, the husband and I had booked ourselves afternoon at The Berkley...

I had never been to The Berkley before but had heard great things about their afternoon tea...

This tea however, was no ordinary afternoon tea, this was a special themed afternoon tea to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee...

Since we had been away on honeymoon over the Jubilee weekend and missed all the pomp and pageantry, this was our way of celebrating...

So of course we had to have a glass of champagne...

And lots of tea! It was nice to have good old British tea after only having Ceylon tea on honeymoon...

The afternoon tea itself was spectacular!

Each of the patisserie pieces was made to represent an iconic piece of fashion worn by the Queen or other members of the Royal Family...

For example one of Kate Middleton's fascinators...

The Queen's hats and handbags...

And the savories were delicious too! I always get special treatment when I go for afternoon tea at classy establishments as they give me my own selection of vegetarian sandwiches - meaning we get double what you usually would!

Of course at The Berkley the afternoon tea is endless anyway, and we had seconds of almost everything...

Princess Eugenie's strange fascinator from the royal wedding even made an appearance as a profiterole...

And of course the crown had to feature somewhere...

We even got to take home the leftovers in pretty pink handbags - much to the husband's embarrassment!

But the leftovers were delicious!!!!!

It was such a lovely way to keep the celebration of our wedding going for a few last days before it was back to work - and back to reality with a bump!

Love Jewel xXx
